Not that Jacob is behaving like there is, but there's no threat there, even if she played that game.

She has to stop a moment and think about that - about why she said it at all. She would have answered the same regardless, but why she felt the need to volunteer it.
"Because sex is one thing, but if you're trying to build something with someone, feelings should be clear." And she does believe this, but they haven't promised anything to one another, have they?

He gently rubs her arms and leans over to place a gentle kiss to her cheek. "We have time and I'm not going anywhere. And uh - if we're talking about it, there's - no one else but you two. There was once, but it's not a thing anymore."
"Yeah, alright." He hums a song softly, one of the hymns he knows so well from Eden's Gate, something low and deep as he settles with her right against him. Where it feels - nice. Warm.
