She grins when she sees it, and heads for the door handle.
"Climb up, see for yourself," she invites Astarion, opening the door for him before climbing in back herself. "He drives, you cover." She mimes an invisible shotgun, taking a shot with it with a soft sound effect, almost to herself.
"Exactly," he tells him, sliding into the driver's seat and running his
hands along the wheel. "But now it just means you get to sit up front and
give me snacks."
He grins. "It's been way too long since I've been behind a wheel."
He looks back to Rosita. "Make yourself comfortable back there. It's gonna
be a couple hours."
Jacob turns the key, flips the switch on the radio, and turns it up.
"He's hotter with a bow," he remarks, then, after a quick refresher on how
to fucking drive as they pull out of the mass of cars, he finds the main
road and takes off.
"No, you need a hunting rifle," she insists, and then she's thrown around a bit by Jacob's adjustment to the truck, the suspension, and she laughs as she rights herself.
"Try one anyway. Crossbow's probably better in the long run. I almost know how to make arrows now."
