He steadies him with one hand, but sits forward so he can kiss him instead.

"I think I just don't want my balls squeezed that tight," he snorts, trailing a kiss along his jaw before catching his mouth again. He doesn't feel rushed this time, doesn't feel hurried. He can simply enjoy for now.

Astarion's still chuckling when their mouths meet. He makes himself comfortable, straddling Jacob's lap, pressing their bodies closer. He tastes good. Feels good. Even smells good.

Jacob pulls him closer, trailing fingers down his spine, under the scarring.

"Hang on," he murmurs, pulling back so he can at least get his shirt off. His arm and palm are still bandaged, but they've healed enough that it doesn't hurt when he moves them, and they'll likely just be another set of scars.

"Poor thing," Astarion breathes, touching his arm a few inches from the wound. "More battle scars."

At least they're healing cleanly. He'd smell it if they weren't. He slides both hands over Jacob's chest, enjoying the slight bristling of his body hair against his fingers.

"Least these will heal neat since you sewed me up tighter than those pant seams," he mutters, watching long fingers slide up his chest.

The sight brings a rush of warmth and he leans forward, his kiss more passionate than before.

Astarion melts into it, into him, his arms winding around Jacob's neck so he can cling to his warmer body like a vine as he slides his tongue between his lips. He's gotten used to kissing him. Odd. But pleasant.

Arousal makes itself known slowly, a gradual hum of sensation in the pit of his stomach.

Even now, there's a hint of doubt in his mind about those words. How could they be true when he's certain Astarion has plenty of other choices? Why would he be the one that he's missed?

He doesn't let that thought linger; the kiss chases it firmly away.

He feels himself grow needy in turn and rocks up against Astarion slightly, pressing himself against his jeans.

"Ah, you gotta let me - " He is hard already, needy and begging.

Astarion can't help but smile against Jacob's cheek.

"Oh, do I? I've got to?"

Instead, he slips off his lap to sit at his side, already reaching to open his jeans.

"I can't stand these," he says, of the zipper. "Are you not constantly worried about snagging something delicate?"

He lets out a sigh of relief, pulling his hand away and lets him unzip him. "What? That's what the boxers are for." Not that he's immune from zipping something delicate in them; that's just a rite of passage. But he's older now. Wiser.

He sounds unconvinced, but overall he's more interested in helping Jacob get the rest of the way naked, leaning in to kiss his neck and shoulder and jaw while he's going about it.

He shies away from any kiss along his jaw, and Astarion might, at this close view, be able to see the bruise that flowers underneath his beard.

But once he's free of his clothes, he's kicking them off to the side anyway, sliding down onto his back so he can pull Astarion close again.

Astarion sees it. His touch moves away at the first flinch, and when Jacob lays on his back, he follows him down. All this bare skin against bare skin feels indulgent, warm, good in a way beyond the simple mechanics of arousal.

He tangles their legs together, pressing his erection into Jacob's hip for the relief that pressure brings. A loud moan slips from him.

Astarion nips at his chest, drags his tongue over a nipple before giving that a blunt little bite too.

"You should have said something. We could have stayed in the Lounge."

He hisses, but it's not the sort of pain he shies away from.

"Eh, I'm not into public stuff," he says, combing fingers in Astarion's hair. "They get enough of a view in the showers."

Astarion slides back up, kissing Jacob quickly as he rocks their hips together.

"Do I need to take my knives and have a quiet talk?"

There's a sharp dip in his chest at those words. It's not true jealousy, it's only play, but there's still a flush of warmth that spreads through his face.

"Yeah? You jealous?" he teases, raising his hips up against him, dragging him into a kiss.
